Field Technician Location: Ottawa, ON Canada Travel Travel within Canada up to 25% Availability for shortnotice travel (e.g., same day) may be required Monthly oncall schedule (4pm8am MondayFriday and 24h SaturdaySunday) with a twohour response time Potential 45 hour onsite time during oncall periods Availability for major events at client sites as requested Company vehicle may be assigned; only for company designated business, with SOP for use and reimbursement What Youll Do Manage installations with guidance of the Project Manager, leveraging internal and partner relationships to understand scope and nature of each assigned project Commission and test all Flash equipment at the completion of installation Service, troubleshoot, and resolve issues Exhibit strong professional business ethics: build constructive relationships, implement proactive and concise communication Act as a resource to colleagues and engage in collaborative problem solving while demonstrating FlashParkings core values Ensure all hardware, systems, and equipment are tested and working properly before leaving clients locations Be familiar with various gate manufacturers and types to program multiple variations per project scope What You Bring Comfortable using hand tools and a multimeter Understanding of FlashParking software solutions, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to quickly learn new hardware/electronic components Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English in a business environment Ability to work autonomously in uncontrolled environments (e.g., parking garage) Experience with troubleshooting methodologies & quality testing Experience with low and high voltage wiring or commercial electrical knowledge Experience communicating with colleagues and customers in a technical support environment General knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and components Valid Canadian Drivers License Ability to travel to USA; valid passport Bachelors, Associates, or Technical School Certification in a related field (or equivalent education plus customer support, project coordination, or account management experience) Proficiency with personal computer and Microsoft Office applications Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Amazing attention to detail Outgoing with an Ive got this attitude Documentation skills PARCS experience; Access Control/CCTV experience; Comptia A+, Network+ certifications preferred Experience installing local networks and working with relays is a plus Bachelor of Arts, Associates, or Technical School Certification in a related field (or equivalent education plus customer support, project coordination or account management experience) preferred Some travel and rotating oncall schedule required Pay Rate $30$39/hr final salary determined by candidates skills and experience Competitive Rewards Package Includes Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance RRSP with company match Paid time off and flexible work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development Flash is committed to working with the broadest talent pool possible.
