Job Responsibilities Standard Duties & Responsibilities Currently open position Support compliance to Magna Standards such as MMSA, MAFACT and MQS systems. Support compliance to IATF, ISO 14001 and TISAX systems. Complies and upholds the expectations of internal standards, processes, and legislative requirements. Conduct in accordance with the Magna Charter, Magna Operating Principles and Corporate Ethics guidelines. Promotes and ensures adherence to Company, Legislative and Magna Safety practices. Achieve technical confidence to challenge current standards and progress division to the next level. Assist with improvement initiatives related to Key Operating Indicators assigned by GM. Responsible to identify any potential or actual Health & Safety concerns to ensure risks are mitigated and compliance to legislation is consistently maintained. Support quality, safety, environmental and sustainability objectives. Complete corrective and preventive actions as appropriate for any nonconformance within jurisdiction and assist with noncompliances identified during customer / internal and / or external audit. Participate in the continuous improvement and cost reduction activities using problem solving methods. Participate in company meetings and key events as required. Responsible for ensuring adherence to daily 5S activities and improvements. Work with other departments towards overall plant goals. Any other requests deemed reasonable by management. Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities Workplace Assessments and Design: Evaluate workstations, tools, & equipment to ensure they meet ergonomic standards. Design or recommend changes to improve worker comfort, safety, & productivity. Risk Assessments: Identify potential ergonomic hazards in the workplace; Conduct risk assessments to determine the likelihood and severity of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Implementation of Ergonomic Solutions: Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to implement ergonomic solutions; Test and evaluate the effectiveness of ergonomic interventions. Monitor the effectiveness of ergonomic solutions and make adjustments as needed. Compliance & Standards: Ensure that workplace designs and practices comply with relevant ergonomic standards and regulations; Stay updated on the latest ergonomic guidelines and best practices. Complete quarterly, annual, and onsite corporate audits. Update corporate ergonomic system with required data in a timely manner. Design Consultation: Provide input on the ergonomic aspects of new product and process designs. Participate in crossfunctional teams to integrate ergonomic principles into broader company initiatives. Data Collection and Analysis: Gather data on worker postures, movements, and interactions with equipment; Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of ergonomic assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Projects & Programs: Assist & report out on deliverables for program launches & continuous improvement projects. Provide leadership to the Joint Health & Safety and Ergonomic Committees. Training: Monitor & coordinate ergonomic training programme for required personnel. Support: Provide back up for the department: WSIB claims, health and safety job risk assessments, and any other support for the HR or other departments. Qualifications Education: University Degree in related field; Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) or Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP) preferred. Additional Training: Courses in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, human factors, occupational health and safety, and industrial design are beneficial. Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in related field; Experience in Automotive facility an asset. Characteristics: Must be a high energy resultsoriented individual; Able to communicate effectively with coworkers; Effective trouble shooting; Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fastpaced environment with minimal guidance; Demonstrated initiative to improve tasks and take action. Ability to uphold confidentiality & integrity. Technical: Proficient Computer Skills; Competence in utilizing ergonomic assessment tools. Why work for Magna Integram Windsor Seating?
