OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as an Optical/Administrative Assistant. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to establish a long-term career and play a pivotal role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the front office of our fast-paced multidisciplinary clinic and assisting in optical and eyecare services in a friendly professional manner.ResponsibilitiesPerform pre-testing of patients, assist with eye exams, educate patients on eyewear and contact lenses, and provide administrative support directly related to patient eye care.Coordinate and collect invoices and statements and facilitate supplier bill payments in accordance with bookkeeper directions.Facilitate payroll and scheduling functions as directed.Schedule patient appointments for all practitioners and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.Respond to patient calls and emails promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries and concerns as needed.Manage patient flow and ensure a seamless experience from check-in to check-out.Handle billing and collection of payments accurately and efficiently.Process Extended Health Insurance billings via TELUS system.Perform general office duties such as managing calls, scheduling, and maintaining records.Reception and administration: Handle front desk duties including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information.Assist patients with frame selection and fitting (experience not required).Support optometrists in various clinical tasks.Proficient use of software systems.Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support clinic operations.RequirementsStrong communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent customer service skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
