Product Manager Board and Sheet Goods Position can be in either Surrey, BC or Calgary, AB. Responsibilities Understanding the competitive landscape to supply and provide the right product, at the right place and the right price. Vendor relations establish, maintain, and promote a positive relationship with all suppliers to the segment, including price negotiations. Manage market pricing and develop promotional programs specific to local western markets. Support, train and assist both specification and sales teams to increase their knowledge of the product lines. Work closely with and take directions from the sales managers to achieve their local sales results. Spend time in local territories assessing customer needs and developing strategies to better service them. Support and help develop the Retail Board program; manage and oversee inventories & procurement insure the correct selection and level of inventory is available. Sourcing and introducing new suppliers and products, creating marketing campaigns and helping to execute them. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Western Canadian industrial wood industry. Demonstrable proven track record in developing new products and successfully marketing them. Currently has established vendor relationships. Positive and professional reputation in the industry.
