You will play a crucial role in educating the importance of safely directing the movement of traffic, setting up and maintaining traffic control devices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant protocols.ResponsibilitiesInstruct how to direct and control the flow of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the worksite.Provide detailed instructions on how to monitor and respond to changing traffic conditions to ensure the safety of workers and the public.Assist with setting up, maintaining, and adjusting traffic control devices such as signs, cones, and barriers.Communicate effectively with students and provide clear instructions and information in accordance with provincial laws.Maintain detailed records of traffic incidents and control measures.Adhere to all applicable safety regulations and company policies.RequirementsSuccessful completion of Train the Trainer Course.Completion of Alberta flagging certification is required.Previous experience in traffic control or flagging operations.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safety and attention to detail.Must be comfortable standing, walking and lifting up to 50lbs.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Must have steel toe boots in good repair, hi vis vest, hi vis hard hat, safety glasses.Our client offers a competitive hourly rate for this temporary Training position, with the potential for overtime pay.
