The opportunity Reporting to the Corporate Services Coordinator & Compliance Training and Development Lead, the Compliance Administrator Summer Student will provide proactive administrative support for the Compliance Department in carrying out the compliance activities of the firm. The successful candidate will possess strong organization skills, exceptional attention to detail and be responsible for leveraging technology to improve administrative processes. Key responsibilities include Providing support for various compliance administrative tasks and responsibilities by supporting the execution of Compliance-led projects and initiatives. Assisting with data gathering, validation and quality checks to ensure information captured in compliance systems is accurate, complete, and current. Performing research and background analysis to support Compliance initiatives, policy enhancements, and process improvements. Assisting in the preparation and administration of the Compliance annual attestation program. Supporting the organization and maintenance of Compliance documentation in designated repositories (e.g., SharePoint, internal systems). Liaising with internal stakeholders (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Operations, IT) to collect information required for Compliance projects. Participating in project meetings and working sessions, preparing notes and action-item summaries as needed. Handling confidential and sensitive information in accordance with firm policies, CIRO requirements, and applicable privacy legislation. Performing other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate program, diploma, or certificate in business administration, finance, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of financial services experience or an equivalent professional environment is an asset. Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Demonstrate a high level of accountability, reliability, adaptability, and innovation in accomplishing day-to-day work and long-term goals. Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both Advisors and Corporate staff. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and demonstrating sound professional judgement with an ability to collaborate. Exemplary interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills across multiple mediums (in-person, phone, virtual). A high tolerance for ambiguity; highly adaptive and able to manage a large volume of competing priorities. Strong critical thinking and written and verbal communication skills. An ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality. Conditions of employment Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
