Serving as the communication liaison and technical lead in cooperation with the support staff in the Somerset, PA facility, you will be responsible to plan, organize, and monitor the repair facility personnel and processes in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Our products are critical to the lives of our customers and youll be a part of leading this team in driving best-in-class metrics in Safety, Quality, Service, and of course, our People.Main Activities/ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the personnel structure and staffing levels accomplish the Repair and Shipping missions in an effective and efficient manner.Participate in the recruiting process for employee vacancies.Serve as lead Repair Associate for the service of all Drive DeVilbiss products that are routed to the facility. Daily duties in this role include but are not limited to the following:Develop team through training, mentoring, coaching and counseling for optimal performance and productivity.Oversee the data entry for service orders and inventory transactions within the ERP system.Maintain all equipment to ensure safety, preventative maintenance and calibration; order spare or replacement tools as required to sustain operational flow.Communicate trending data, failure data and non-typical unit anomalies to the Service, Engineering, and Quality Control Departments.Oversee parts consumption and inventory stocking levels for repair components, including communication of component shortages to the Procurement and/or Repair Departments in Somerset.Oversee the inbound and outbound shipping process for the customer and for Somerset, including packaging, staging and handing off products.Partner with safety to ensure proper procedures are followed; ensure documentation is filled out after accidents or incidents.Ensure the compliance of safety norms to include maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area.Maintain and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Enforce Drive DeVilbiss operating documents and repair procedures to ensure that all processes meet Drive DeVilbiss, OSHA, and FDA requirements.Create an atmosphere where continuous improvement, increased throughput and cost reduction are paramount.Remain current on all Drive DeVilbiss Product Change Notices (PCNs).Participate in unit repair, receiving, testing and packaging as time permits.Create awareness through daily productivity meetings and visual communication boards.Establish a culture of advocating for continuous improvement on all levelsDemonstrate an attitude of support and foster participation in the environment of continuous improvement.Engage, manage and drive accountability to direct reporting staff.Travel, as necessary, mainly for training.Perform other duties as assigned.CompetenciesAbility to read and comprehend (in English) simple and complex instructions, short correspondence and memos.Excellent verbal communication with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.Solution-oriented -- takes initiative and is willing to share knowledge and skills while seeking new ways to teach and learn.Ability to interact effectively with various internal and external customers/vendors.Proficient skills using MS Office Suite (MS Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).Proficient project management skills.Proficient decision making and problem-solving skills.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and SAP or equivalent ERP system.Demonstrates a consistently positive attitude with the ability to influence others.Contributes consistently to incremental improvement through ideas and personal leadership.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop others and manage key initiatives to successful results.Ability to think independently, multi-task, and organize efficiently and effectively.Reporting Relationships And SupervisionThis position works independently under the supervision of the Service Director at Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare LLC, NA. Meetings are held remotely on a weekly to bi-weekly basis or more often as needed to manage repair operations at this repair facility.The following are direct reports:Repair TechniciansEducation And ExperienceAssociates degree or higher in a technical or engineering discipline (electrical and mechanical troubleshooting background is preferred).2+ years of supervisory experience in product repair, warehousing, receiving, or materials management in a manufacturing environment, with occasional customer contact experience.Complete understanding of products, policies, and procedural practices that build customer loyalty.Detailed understanding of all unique components of the specialty area (i.e., Tech Support: detailed knowledge of electronics, product trouble shooting, disabilities.)Customer and Technical Service backgrounds are preferred.Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX and SAP or equivalent ERP system is preferred.Your Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentPhysical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders and lifting up to 50 lbs. or occasional lifting, engaging the two person lift for objects weighing more than 50 lbs.Perform activities in a warehouse environment.
