This role involves inspection of products at the warehouse during receiving and shipping to identify any defects or deviations from quality standards, and documenting findings for further analysis and corrective actions.Responsibilities & ExpectationsConduct incoming material and packaging inspections:Perform and document visual and functional inspections against specifications and purchase requirementsVerify shipping conditions for: cleanliness, damage, moisture, pests, tampering, odor, leaks or contamination risksConfirm correct identification and labellingConfirm receipt documentationApply applicable quarantine/hold/release status for received goodsConfirming returned materials:Verify the returned materials match the original issued materials (i.e. description, lot number, supplier, quantity returned)Inspect for any risk of crosscontamination or damageConfirm packaging material integrity (i.e. cleanliness, damage, etc.) and ensure the materials are properly covered to prevent contamination during storageConduct shipping/outbound quality verification inspections:Correct product and lot number selectionPallet integrity and material integrityVerify shipping conditions meet the product requirements (i.e. seals, temperature controlled, etc.)Identify and segregate nonconforming materials, report findings to appropriate personnelFollow approved sampling procedures to protect the materials from contamination and/or degradation/damageRoutine inspections and audits of the warehouse to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements, confirm materials are protected from contamination/damage or degradationAssist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation (i.e. cycle counts)Participate in audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectationsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality systemCommunicate quality concerns with management as requiredDesired QualificationsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocolsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient with the Microsoft suite of programsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; diploma or bachelors degree in a related field preferredMinimum 2 years experience in a quality control role, preferably related to production or manufacturingWhat Do We Offer?Extended Health & Wellness CoverageCompany Paid Time OffFlexible Work Arrangements Supporting WorkLife Balance #J-18808-Ljbffr
