In this role, you will provide high-quality, in-home care to children, working closely with families to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of your patients. Your contributions will directly impact families and help foster a supportive, nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and assess patients conditions, including vital signs and specific pediatric monitoring (e.g., seizures, suctioning, oxygen saturation). Collaborate with healthcare teams to create, implement, and update individualized care plans. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families. Educate caregivers on pediatric care, disease management, and safe home practices. Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation. Ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for patients. What You Will Need to Succeed Professional Requirements Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). CPR and First Aid certification. Chest X-ray or Negative Mantoux/TB Test (within the past 2 years). Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check (within the past 6 months). Experience Community nursing experience and pediatric care considered an asset. Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is an asset. Skills in diabetes management, G-tube care, colostomy care, and PIECES or GPA training are preferred. Other Requirements Reliable transportation with valid Ontario Drivers License and insurance.
