OverviewMaples Surgical Centre, a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse- Operating RoomEmployment TypePart Time (0.5).Full Time (0.8).Casual.Shifts: Weekdays.PerksCompetitive pay rates.Day shifts.Flexible scheduling.On-site parking.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with all members of the health care team.Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration and storage procedures and controlled substances regulations.Documents patient care appropriately in the medical record.Participates cooperatively and communicates effectively with team members.Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.Participates in educational programs as required.Assists with the orientation and support for new staff to the facility.Performs related duties as assigned by leader.Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.Minimum RequirementsRN with current Certificate of Registration issued by the College of Nurses of Manitoba.Operating Room certification from an accredited program Certificate required.Current BCLS certification is required.Proven focus to provide excellent patient care, in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary team of care providers, with emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.QualificationsCurrently licensed and in good standing with College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba, and eligible to work in Manitoba.Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) perioperative nursing certification preferred.Completion of a recognized operating room course or a combination of education and experience.Ability to work independently within the surgical/ambulatory services environment to maintain patient flow.Demonstrated knowledge of surgical/ambulatory procedures (including set up) and the continuum of care for the surgical patient that includes the pre-intra-post operative patient experience.Must be capable to set up and care for minor and major surgical procedures and anticipate the needs of patients and physicians.Proven motivation to pursue educational goals.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.Implement plan of care including independent and interdependent nursing functions.Assessing and understanding the unique needs of the surgical patients.Strong proficiency and willingness to work at the full scope of practice (as outlined by CRNM). #J-18808-Ljbffr
