JOB DESCRIPTIONUnder the general direction of the Slot Technical Shift Manager, repairs and maintains electronic and mechanical components related to electronic gaming devices, including testing, upgrades, replacement, and board level repairs. Calibrates, maintains, and repairs components and test instruments. Maintains component organization and inventory in coordination with the Inventory Planner. Ensure electronic gaming devices are compliant and meet integrity standards. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoots and diagnoses defective or inoperable electronic components. Conducts advanced electrical repairs, including board level repairs, as required. Evaluates and tests completed repairs for consistency, accuracy and quality according to industry specifications and standards. Responsible for tracking and logging repairs in coordination with the Inventory Planner. Maintains tools and equipment related to electronic repairs. Orders consumables required to support electronic repairs. Adheres to industry health and safety standards in the repair and reconditioning of electronic devices. Education And Qualification Requirements Completion of a two-to-three-year college program in electronics engineering or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electronic servicing and repair, or completion of high school or post-secondary courses in electronics and on-the-job training is required. An Ontario Certificate of Qualification is preferred. An IPC-A-610 Standards Certification (CSE Level or above preferred). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Experience working as a Slot Technician is an asset. Flexible and able to work rotation shifts, weekends and holidays as required. Ability to bend, lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs; and perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers. Hands-on experience conducting special electrical repairs is an asset, including but not limited to: Fine Pitch Soldering ICT, SMT and Wave Soldering PCB Fault Finding and Debugging Chip Component Repair Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Ability to speak French is an asset but not required. Work Environment Considerations This role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. Licensing And Certification Requirements Permanent employment is dependent upon the authorization and continued approval of Provincial regulatory bodies. New team members will complete an application and will begin work after regulatory approval is granted. Existing team members will reapply as necessary, and continuing work will be dependent upon successful renewal.
