We are seeking a certified Plant Manager to join our team and help us continue delivering top-tier solutions to our customers. Position Overview A Plant Manager is a senior-level professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing and production facilities. The plant manager is a pivotal role in ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while managing resources, staff, and production targets. The plant manager role is a data-driven leader to take full operational ownership of our primary facility (Canadian Tool & Die) and our Machine Works location. The plant manager will be responsible for a total workforce of up to 200+ hourly employees through a layer of Supervisors, ensuring that both the CTD and Machine Works facilities workflows areprofitable, safe, and efficient Key Responsibilities Operational Policy: Develop and implement procedures to optimize performance and fixbottlenecks where production is stalling. Production Planning: Oversee scheduling and execution to ensure Planned vs. Actualcosts align with original quotes. System Building: Lead the transition from manual/paper-based tracking to a digitalproduction system (ERP). Define how we track labor, material, and machine time Multi-Site Oversight: Manage resources and manpower between the Winnipeg hub and the West St. Paul location. Compliance & Safety: Ensure 100% compliance with ISO 9001 and safety regulations. Leadership through Layers: Manage and develop a supervisory layer to lead hourly staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Cost Control: Implement strict cost-control measures to reduce operational expenses andprotect profit margins. Qualifications & Skills: Experience: 5+ years in senior manufacturing leadership (Steel, Machining, or Agriculturalcomponents preferred). Bachelors degree preferred in Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing), Operations / Production Planning / Supply Chain, or Business. OR equivalent combination of education and experience, such as a technical diploma orRed Seal trade background. Analytical Mindset: Advanced ability to work with production math, spreadsheets, and ERP data. Mobility: Ability to travel between the Winnipeg and West St. Paul facilities.
