OverviewHealth & Safety Specialist responsible for developing annual H&S plans, hazard assessments, audit reviews, incident investigations to determine root causes, and implementing preventive actions. Ensures statutory obligations including training and reporting are met; serves as the company representative related to H&S compliance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop annual H&S plans based on a full review of H&S needs (hazard assessment, database analysis, audits).Ensure incidents are investigated effectively to determine root cause and corrective actions.Create and use metrics to implement preventative measures.Ensure the company meets statutory obligations including training and reporting.Act as the company representative related to H&S compliance.QualificationsEducation: Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field. CRSP an asset.Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive H&S expertise within a manufacturing environment. Comprehensive knowledge of OHSA, WSIB and other industrial H&S legislation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
