Job Description

Location: 100% travel across Canada Start Date: As soon as possible The Punch List Technician is responsible for identifying, documenting, repairing, and closing out punch list items prior to project handover. This role focuses on final quality checks and corrective actions related to cosmetic defects, minor mechanical issues, corrosion, coating damage, missing components, and general finish quality. The technician works closely with Quality, Logistics, and Site Teams to ensure all punch list items are resolved efficiently and documented accurately. Key Responsibilities Inspect delivered components and assemblies for punch list items such as: Paint and coating damage Cosmetic defects and scratches Corrosion or oxidation Missing, loose, or incorrectly installed parts Minor mechanical or fitment issues Perform minor repairs and corrective work, including: Surface preparation, touch-up painting, and coating repairs Cleaning and removal of dirt, residue, or oxidation Replacement or installation of small components (caps, covers, fasteners, labels, etc.) Verify proper placement and condition of protective materials (tarps, covers, packaging). Accurately document findings and completed work using punch list reports, photos, and QA records. Coordinate with logistics, quality control, subcontractors, and supervisors to resolve issues efficiently. Ensure all punch list items are closed according to quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. Maintain tools, materials, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Follow all site safety rules, quality procedures, and company policies. Required Qualifications 4 years of experience in Wind construction, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or quality inspection. Familiarity with punch list processes, inspections, and close-out procedures. Ability to identify cosmetic vs. structural issues and follow repair instructions. Basic skills in hand tools, surface preparation, and minor repair work. Comfortable working outdoors and around large industrial components. Ability to read work instructions, reports, and basic technical documentation. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with coating, painting, or corrosion control. Prior work on large mechanical or structural components (e.g., towers, nacelles, blades, generators). Experience working with QA/QC teams and photographic documentation. Forklift, man-lift, or site access certifications (an asset). Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work at ground level or elevated areas. Ability to lift and carry tools and materials as required. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
