If you have this same drive, then let''s talk Purpose of the Role: The Property Accountantwillbe responsible for full cycle accounting and reporting of our diverse portfolio of clients.This roleenables property managers and owners to make informed decisions that maximize value and performanceof our properties.Through thedelivery ofaccurateand timelyfinancial insightsand reporting,the property accounting teamcontributestostrong client relationships, informedleadership decision making andoperational excellence,all insupportofthe overallstrategicprioritiesof the Blackwood Property Management business. This is an onsite role located in our Toronto Real Estate office. Core Responsibilities: Full cycle accounting, including preparing journal entries, income statement, balance sheet, bank reconciliation, recovery true-ups, variance analysis, GST returns, cash flowforecastsand other financial reporting analysis on monthly and quarterlybasis; Assistin preparing monthly and quarterly reportstoclient; Ensuretimelyandaccuratepreparation of year end audit packagerequirements; Assistin preparing year end tenantoperatingand taxreconciliations; Assistin annual budgeting process for each of the properties undermanagement; Assist Property Management and other departments as requestedwithprovidingaccurate/timelyaccountinginformation; Other relevant and related responsibilities, as assigned and as the needs of the organization change. ExperienceandQualifications: A minimum of3years''of workexperiencein accounting. Property management accounting experience an asset. Post-secondary accounting degree or CPAqualification; Excellentcomputerskills, with proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and accounting software packages; YARDI experience anasset. Compensation & Benefits Package: This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $70,000-$85,000; dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
