Who You Are Adaptable and quick to identify issues or needs, and can accommodate last-minute requests and situations Are capable of proactively anticipating needs and react quickly with an analytical approach and understanding of the business Have exceptional time management and pride yourself on exemplary organizational skills including but not limited to management of email, digital files, and processes Are highly knowledgeable and efficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Are a self-starter and demonstrate a history of holding yourself accountable Have 3 5 years of litigation experience Have completed a Legal Assistant Diploma/Certificate from a recognized institute How You''ll Make a Difference: Manage and maintain files in a logical and orderly manner including accurately documenting all data in our file management software Assist with the efficient and effective movement of client files through the litigation process Assist in the collection of evidence needed to advance the client''s claim Draft, file and serve pleadings including but not limited to Statement of Claims, Affidavit of Records, various Applications, Affidavits and Orders, etc. Ensure filing and service limitations are met on files Communicate effectively and efficiently with clients, opposing counsel, medical practitioners, insurance adjusters, and vendors Manage schedule for assigned lawyer(s) including booking questionings, mediation, JDRs, trials, and client meetings, etc. as necessary, while organizing all documentation and coordinating logistics Schedule Independent Medical Examinations, Vocational, or specialist assessments for the client as needed Meet with clients to swear/affirm Affidavits, to sign various documents, to provide updates, or to answer questions as required Review, track, and abide by various trust conditions on settled files and ensure proper documentation is signed by the client and provided to insurance adjuster or opposing counsel Work independently and collaboratively with team members to provide assistance on various tasks What We Offer At Litco Law, we know that a caring team is a team that is cared for.
