Pinchin is looking for a Project Technologist to join our Indoor Environmental Quality team in the GTA on a 9month contract (possibility for extension). This is an existing position and will report directly to a Team Leader or Operations Manager. Role Overview In this role, you will collaborate closely with other team members to deliver consulting services in areas such as indoor air quality, Legionella, microbial contamination and fire and smoke damage. As a Project Technologist, you will support clients through a variety of field activities, technical assessments, and datadriven reporting. Your Role and Action Conduct assessments related to mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), Legionella, infection control and designated substances. Engage with clients to gather building history and understand sitespecific concerns. Perform onsite inspections and evaluate building systems for potential issues. Assess damage resulting from floods, water losses, smoke, and fire events. Support clients during loss and emergency situations by coordinating appropriate drying, cleaning, and remediation steps. Collect a wide range of air and bulk samples, including mould, asbestos, lead, dust, and bacteria. Review and interpret laboratory findings to identify potential risks or concerns. Prepare comprehensive reports outlining observations, results, and recommended actions. Oversee and document the work of abatement and restoration contractors to ensure proper completion of mould, asbestos, and other hazardous material remediation activities. What You''ll Bring to Pinchin You bring a strong technical foundation, a curious mindset, and a commitment to delivering reliable, highquality work for our clients and communities. You take ownership of your responsibilities, value collaboration, and contribute positively to a supportive and respectful team environment. College diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology, or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or equivalent). Postgraduate certificate in environmental management is an asset. 12 years of experience in IEQrelated work preferred. Previous consulting experience is an asset. Knowledge of building construction or maintenance is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail. Willingness to travel to client sites within the GTA. Ability to work outside regular business hours when required (occasional evenings and weekends). Valid driver''s license and access to a reliable vehicle (workrelated travel is compensated).
