The Crupi Group of Companies has been a family-run staple of Toronto''s infrastructure since 1951. We specialize in road construction, aggregate materials, and maintenance. We are looking for a Junior Construction Supervisor to join our teama role designed for growth, mentorship, and operational support. The Junior Supervisor supports the facilitation and execution of construction projects. Working under the direct mentorship of Senior Superintendents, you will help maximize profit, ensure site safety, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Project Planning & Support Work closely with Senior Superintendents to participate in pre-construction meetings with the Construction Manager and Estimators. Assist in reviewing contract documents, field conditions, client requirements, and environmental concerns. Help determine resource requirements and availability for assigned projects. Operations & Scheduling Assist Senior Superintendents in executing project schedules; ensure the efficient management of manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Assist in job start-up, including implementing traffic protection plans and enforcing all on-site safety requirements. Administration & Reporting Ensure all Daily Inspection reports are complete, accurate, and submitted on time. Review and verify project-specific time sheets. Collate all material receipts, equipment packing slips, and project time sheets for daily submission. Act as the primary liaison for daily quantity reporting between the field and the Estimating team/Construction Manager. Maintain a detailed daily journal documenting resources used, critical events, and site conditions. Quality & Cost Control Monitor project quantities daily; identify site discrepancies or potential budget overruns to the Senior Superintendent in real-time. Oversee site work alongside Senior Superintendents to optimize productivity and quality. Assist in measuring completed jobs to ensure proper company compensation. Participate in site meetings with Senior Superintendents and clients to resolve conflicts and communicate project plans. Qualifications: Experience: Previous experience in road construction is required. Environment: Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Flexibility: Available to work various shifts (days, nights, and weekends) as project demands require. Mindset: A strong desire to learn from senior leadership and a commitment to site safety. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and field crews. Proficiency with basic digital tools (tablets/smartphones) for submitting daily reports.
