Non-Ferrous Operations Manager Scrap Metal Recycling Yard Location: Camrose County, AB Company: K&K Prairie Recycling Services Position Type: Full-Time Job Summary K&K Prairie Recycling Services is seeking a Non-Ferrous Operations Manager to oversee the receiving, processing, grading, and inventory control of non-ferrous metals. This role focuses on operational excellence, quality control, and material recovery not sales or trading. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day non-ferrous receiving, sorting, and processing Ensure accurate grading, segregation, and material preparation Oversee inventory control and yard organization Monitor contamination, recovery rates, and downgrade risks Supervise non-ferrous processing staff and workflows Maintain accurate scale tickets, documentation, and internal reporting Coordinate internal movements and shipment preparation Enforce safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards Work closely with management and sales staff to support outbound programs Qualifications 3+ years experience in non-ferrous scrap processing or recycling Strong knowledge of non-ferrous grades and specifications Proven supervisory and operational leadership skills Detail-oriented with strong quality-control focus Comfortable using basic computer systems and yard software Equipment operation experience an asset What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Performance-based incentives tied to quality and recovery Stable, long-term role in a growing operation Opportunity to advance into senior operations leadership Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Work Location: In person
