Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Camp Counselors to join our Day and Summer Camp program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children in a dynamic environment, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. Day camp activites run through the year during weekends and summer camp begins at the end of June and runs until mid-August. Ideal candidates are passionate about working with children, enjoy animating activites, and have experience in early childhood education as well as with children who are neuro-divergent. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational experience for all campers. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children during camp activities. Lead and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, games, and crafts that promote social skills. Assist with the planning and implementation of daily schedules and special events Provide guidance, support, and positive reinforcement to campers to foster confidence and independence Maintain open communication with supervisor regarding camper progress or concerns Support fellow staff members in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming camp setting Skills Experience with children who are neuro-divergent or on the autism spectrum Early childhood education or Special care counseling degree is an asset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with children and team members Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working in a team setting Ability to plan, organize, and lead diverse activities that cater to different age and ability levels Prior experience working with children in educational or recreational settings is highly desirable Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 30 per week Work Location: In person
