Part-Time Dog Walker & Pet Care Contractor NW Calgary Mountain K9 is growing, and we''re looking for a reliable, confident, and animal-savvy individual to join our team as a part-time Dog Walker & Pet Care Contractor. This role is ideal for someone who loves working outdoors, enjoys structure, and is comfortable handling a variety of dogs using balanced training tools and techniques. Position Details Schedule: Monday to Friday, with odd weekend requests. Location: Primarily NW Calgary, with some services in upper SW. Employment Type: Independent Contractor (applicants cover their own gas and mileage). What You''ll Be Doing Walking individual dogs or small groups using safe, structured walking practices. Performing drop-in visits for feeding, potty breaks, and basic care. Providing in-home stays for clients when needed. Following Mountain K9''s handling standards and communication expectations. Maintaining professionalism with clients and representing the Mountain K9 brand. Requirements Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliable vehicle (SUV or van preferred). Experience handling multiple dogs. Willingness to use or learn prong collars, slip leashes, and e-collars. Strong communication skills and reliability. Ability to follow established routines and training protocols. Nice to Have Previous dog walking, training, or pet care experience. Familiarity with balanced training methods. Flexibility for occasional weekend or evening requests. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience.
