Job Description

Our client in Downtown Toronto, ON is seeking aReceptionistto support day-to-day front desk and administrative operations within a nonprofit environment. This is a6-month contractwith thepossibility of extension. The role is fully onsite and best suited for someone organized, professional, and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting.Benefits & PerksCompensation:$23$26/hourContract Length:6 months (with potential for extension)Schedule:Monday to Friday, 35 hours per weekFlexibility to work evenings and weekends as requiredLocation:Fully onsite in Downtown Toronto, ONResponsibilitiesGreet, screen, and assist visitors; verify appointments and notify staffManage incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiriesMaintain reception, waiting, and common areas in a professional and welcoming mannerHandle all inbound and outbound mail, courier services, and packagesReceive, track, and organize in-kind donations and inventoryCoordinate delivery and pickup of donated goods and furnitureMonitor and maintain storage and inventory areasAssist with resident move coordination alongside staff and driversOrder office supplies and support inventory managementPrepare basic correspondence, forms, reports, and documentsMaintain organized filing systems and office recordsProvide first-level support for office equipment (printers, scanners, photocopiers)Track and prepare invoices for approval and signatureSupport general office administration and perform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 1 year of strong receptionist or administrative experienceProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel required)Strong customer service, communication, and phone etiquetteHighly organized with strong time management and multitasking skillsAdaptable, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift up to 3540 lbs using proper lifting techniquesPrevious experience in a nonprofit, NGO, or donation-focused environment is an assetAt Aplin together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
