The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability, experience training production personnel, and a solid understanding of welding, assembly, and manufacturing processes. This role also interfaces regularly with our ERP system for purchasing, planning, and work order management.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & TrainingGEO PSIs Core Values: Uphold GEO PSIs core valuescommitment with accountability, teamwork, integrity, innovation, and persistencein all professional activities. Supervise, mentor, and develop a small manufacturing team, ensuring high performance and adherence to quality standards.Train staff on assembly procedures, welding best practices, calibration methods, and inspection techniques.Promote a culture of safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.Champion Quality Control throughout the manufacturing process.Manufacturing OperationsOversee daily production activities for the assembly of downhole pressure and temperature sensing tools.Perform handson support in assembly, welding setup, troubleshooting, and test operations when needed.Ensure manufacturing processes follow documented work instructions, drawings, and quality requirements. Welding & Assembly Process KnowledgeApply knowledge of welding procedures (microTIG, laser welding, hermetic sealing) to guide operators and ensure process compliance.Interpret engineering drawings, electrical and mechanical schematics, and assembly documentation.Support development of new or improved manufacturing processes, tools, and fixtures.Calibration & InspectionOversee calibration of sensors and test equipment following established procedures.Ensure incoming components meet specifications through visual and dimensional inspection.Work with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve nonconformances.ERP, Planning & PurchasingUtilize the company ERP system for: Inventory managementPurchasing of materials and componentsMonitoring production status and reporting progressCollaborate with supply chain to maintain material availability and reduce production bottlenecks.Collaborate with operations, planning and procurement Purchasing of materials and componentsEngage vendors to resolve supply needs promptly Coordinate urgent or rush shipments to meet operational timelines Your Qualities: Troubleshooting Mindset Determine causes of operating errors and solve problems.Time Management Understand job requirement and time frame in meeting deadlines.Dependability Be reliable and responsible in completing job requirements.Attention to Detail Understand and adherence specifications and what standards entail.Adaptability/Flexibility Flexibility on constantly changing work requirements.Initiative Willing to take on responsibility and challenges.Analytical Thinking Analyze information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.Integrity Open and honest in performing the job and holding oneself accountable and responsible for daily operations.Achievement Accomplish and exceed tasks and job expectations.Qualifications and Skills:5+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in electronics, sensors, or downhole oilfield tools.Handson experience in assembly, welding, testing, or calibration processes.Experience with electronics handling and testing.Strong hand on experience working with hand tools.Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring small teams.Familiarity with welding methods and welding procedure documentation.Understanding of electromechanical assembly practices.Experience with ERP systems for planning, purchasing, and inventory management.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings.Strong communication, organizational, and problemsolving skills.What We Offer:Competitive pay range: $68,000.00 - $79,000.00 annually, based on qualificationsComprehensive Group Health Benefits PlanOn-site parkingAccess to an on-site gymCasual dress codeSchedule: Monday to FridayWork Location: In person (This role is based at our Calgary office and requires full-time on-site presence)How to Apply:Submit your resume and a short cover letter at [email protected] outlining your experience and fit for the role.
