The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to a positive work environment. Collaboration with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences is essential.QualificationsStrong culinary skills including meal preparation, menu planning, and food presentation techniquesExperience in team management, communication, and leadership within a kitchen setting is essentialKnowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper kitchen sanitationAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and prioritiesPrevious experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant, resort, or hospitality settingFormal culinary education or equivalent practical experience in the industryPassion for delivering high-quality cuisine and providing exceptional guest experiencesFlexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidaysWe offer dedicated management housing for $10/day with a rebate upon contract completion, a wellness program, staff family stay rates and a staff referal bonus program.Wage: $4166 per month plus monthly target attainment bonusesTerm: April to NovemberApply to: [email protected]
