Who we are?The pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA) brings together provincial, territorial, and federal governments for the purpose of increasing and managing access to clinically relevant and cost-effective medicines. Through collective negotiations, the pCPA has realized overall savings (as of April 1, 2025) for governments of $3.94 billion annually for brand name drugs and $935 million annually for generic drugs totaling $4.87 billion annually. The pCPA offers a 100% remote (within Canada) work environment. About theroleAs a member of the management team, themanager, Drug Intelligence & Business Process,is responsible foroverseeing the clinical and administrative functions that support negotiations. This includes managing the development and distribution of key documents, coordinating operational meetings, supporting pipeline-related activities, and responding to partner inquiries.The manager is also responsible foroverseeing clinical input into negotiation mandates and completing special projects that require knowledge of pharmacists. The role ensures these processes align with and advance the organizations strategic direction.The manager builds meaningful relationships and fosters open communication across a diverse network of partners.Its purpose is to bring senior-level professionals together, creating an environment of trust and collaboration that drives shared success. Specific deliverables and authoritiesManages the operations of the clinical team and the administrative operations of the department.Manages and responds to partner inquiries related to the brand negotiation process, ensuringtimely,accurate, and professional communication.Oversees the tracking and documentation of administrative activities to ensuretimelyexecution, informs resource planning, and contributes to performance management and reporting.Ensures the negotiations team if fully informed about the pipeline of drugs potentially requiring negotiations and takes responsibility for preparing the team to respond effectively.Supports the negotiations team by providing drug intelligence or by developing andmaintaininga partner-related knowledge base.Manages special projects and initiatives for the pCPA that require clinicalexpertise.Assists theDirector, Negotiations, with the development of divisional goals andobjectivesin alignment with the strategic plan.Leads and supports all aspects of change management.Assistswith development of briefing materials, submissions, reports, and presentations.Providestimelyresponse to all inquiries.Stays informedand up to dateof industry trends.Facilitatesongoing communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, including Partner Relations and Communications, to align initiatives that advance thepCPAsmandate, strategic priorities, and organizational goals.Portfolio and team managementDevelopspriorities for the portfolio.Developsand manages departmental goals and performance expectations.Develops and managesbudgetforDrug Intelligence and Business Processactivities.Defineswork assignmentsand priorities,and monitors progress to ensure performance.Directs and manages team performance and professional growth by providing coaching and mentorship.AccountabilityAccountabletothedirector,NegotiationsQualificationsEducationandexperienceAdegree inData Science, Business Analytics,pharmacyor equivalent.3 to5 years experience in leadership roles in administrative operations, project coordination, or process management within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, government, or related policy-driven environment.5+ years experience in data analytics, businessintelligenceor related field.Experience with leading and working with multi-disciplinary senior-level professionals in developing and implementing strategic policies.Skills andabilitiesAs English is the primary working language at the pCPA, exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are required.Demonstratedproficiencyin delivering presentations to senior officials and partners.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Frenchisan asset.Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams by fostering collaboration, providingcoachingand ensuring clear communication to achieve goals.Exceptional partner engagement abilities with a commitment to building an effective and dynamic organizational culture.Strong understanding of the Canadian pharmaceutical industry and government processes.Proven problem-solving abilities,adaptabilityand astute judgment.Ability to build andmaintaineffective working relationships.Ability to build andmaintaina strong,positiveand cohesive team.Strong business and digital acumen.Working conditionsThis is a 100% virtual position.This position requires frequent travel in different provinces and territories, including periodic multi-day, overnight trips.Employment terms The salary range for this full-timepermanentposition is$105,000 - $157,000.This range reflects the salary for candidates with varying experience levels, job knowledge, and qualifications relevant to the position. Specific offers will be based on individual backgrounds and qualifications. The work hours for this positionis36.25 hours per week.The pCPA provides employees with a comprehensive group benefits package from the first day of employment.
