Position Summary As part of our People and Culture team, the Talent Acquisition Advisor acts as an advisor and is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process for various roles and supports hiring managers and senior management to that effect. The successful candidate will handle a multitude of recruitment mandates at all levels in close collaboration with the hiring managers, attracting and selecting the best talent for The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (The Institute). Reporting to the HR Manager, the incumbent will collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, will issue recommendations and contribute to the improvement of our overall process, use of social medias, tools and talent acquisition strategies by using their experience, creativity and TA best practices used in industry and aligned with The Institute reality and values. The incumbent will also collaborate with the whole People and Culture team on projects and continuous improvement initiatives. General Duties Play an advisory role for hiring managers to evaluate recruitment and workforce planning needs and establish action plans aligned with the talent acquisition strategy, Responsible for the entire talent acquisition process including the job posting and sourcing strategy, analysis and screening of applications, telephone, virtual and in-person interviews, pre-employment process, salary analysis and recommendations, present letters of offer to candidates and conclude employment contracts. Develop inclusive recruitment strategies and tools, sensitize hiring managers and adhere to employment equity program and best practices regarding equity, diversity and inclusion, Establish and maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers and providing regular follow-ups, Offer a remarkable candidate experience, Increase the visibility of The Institute and act as ambassador of The Institute employer brand. Enhance the Careers section of the corporate website and Intranet, Manage LinkedIn account and ensure RI-MUHC visibility on social media in collaboration with the communications team, Maintain metrics and KPIs, set objectives and report to management team, Offer training and coaching on talent acquisition best practices to hiring managers and researchers, Make salary recommendations and participate in job evaluations and salary recalibrations exercises, Participate in the development and establishment of different projects and initiatives of the People and Culture Division, Perform other talent acquisition and HR related duties as assigned by the HR Manager. Education / Experience Bachelors degree in human resources, industrial relations or related field, Three (3) years of experience in a similar position, CPHR or CIRC professional designation considered an asset. Required Skills An advanced knowledge of French is required, An advanced knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English, Excellent communication, advisory and interpersonal skills, Ability to collaborate and build partnerships with a strong client focus, Good knowledge of the use of social networks to attract talents and promote the employer brand, Ability to work independently or with a team with minimum supervision in a constantly evolving environment, Good priority management skills, able to work under pressure and multi-task, Demonstrate diplomacy, discretion and strong judgement, Self-motivated, solution oriented and resourceful, Creative and able to bring innovative ideas, Proficiency of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, At ease with technologies and telecommunications (conference calls, presentations and virtual meetings).
