A typical day for the Manager, Vendor Application Support Lead a team of specialists responsible for application support, maintenance, and solution integration. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their IT needs and requirements and provide solutions. Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of IT systems and applications. Monitor and evaluate performance, security, and reliability of systems. Manage resources, budget, and schedule to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of IT solutions and services. Provide technical vision, guidance and roadmap for the team and ensure adherence to best practice, standards, and policies. Research and evaluate new technology and trends, make recommendations for the selection, replacement, and improvement of technical solutions. Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to support the software lifecycle including selection, acquisition, licensing, implementation, maintenance and decommission. Contribute to development of standards, processes, plans and strategies and implementation in the operational environment. A university degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years directly related experience; or certificate or diploma with minimum of 10 years of directly related experience. Excellent leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation and team building skills. A self-starter who is highly adaptable and sees change and challenges as opportunities and takes ownership of issues and ensures they are resolved. Demonstrated ability to interface and build relationships with key stakeholders, vendors and senior management. Strong problem-solving skills to analyze technical system requirements, assess impact on existing infrastructure and implement optimized solutions to address stakeholder needs. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, including potential conflicting priorities and time sensitive deadlines. Experience with: Leading technical teams and providing technical and architectural leadership. Program delivery, operational and strategic planning, resource management, technology implementation, and project management Implementing, maintaining, and optimizing workflow management, movement of data and integration between software applications.
