The Opportunity Shape the World Around You As a Senior Transportation Design Engineer in our Municipal team in Nova Scotia, you''ll lead transformative projects that enhance mobility, strengthen communities, and improve everyday life across the Atlantic provinces. Your technical expertise and collaborative mindset will help deliver solutions that are resilient, sustainable, and futurefocused. Your Impact Lead multimodal transportation design for municipal, provincial, transit, and private development projects, applying engineering judgment to produce solutions that meaningfully improve community mobility. Deliver highquality functional, conceptual, and preliminary roadway and transportation design packages that shape safe, accessible infrastructure. Develop innovative transportation studies and planning analyses for roads, transit corridors, and site circulation, supporting smarter, more sustainable movement of people and goods. Partner with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to align technical requirements, find efficiencies, and develop creative, contextappropriate design outcomes. Oversee site plan reviews for projects of varying scales to ensure alignment with municipal standards, operational needs, and effective site functionality. Lead the preparation of construction staging and traffic management plans that meet NSPW, TAC, and municipal design standards. Uphold quality assurance and quality control across all deliverables through governance, mentorship, and rigorous application of best practices. Mentor junior and intermediate staff through continuous knowledge sharing, coaching, and professional development. Contribute to business development by preparing proposal inputs, conducting research, and coordinating multidisciplinary contributions. The Skills That Set You Apart You bring 10+ years of progressive transportation design experience, with a track record of delivering complex municipal and multimodal infrastructure projects. You hold a P.Eng. in Nova Scotia and a degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering, applying your expertise to realworld mobility challenges. You''re committed to sustainable transportation and designing solutions that help mitigate climate change and enhance community resilience. You''re fluent in tools such as AutoCAD, AutoTURN, and Microsoft Office, and continuously expand your technical toolkit.
