Position Overview Teacher Long-Term Occasional (LTO) Grade 3/4 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE). Effective immediately until approximately April 24, 2026, with no extension beyond June 26, 2026. Qualifications Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary and Junior Divisions. Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the above division. Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies. Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Understanding of the Ontario Curriculum, and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy. Knowledge and experience in supporting comprehensive (structured) literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction. Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, and additional GSuite digital tools and EDSBY to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents. Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies. Commitment to being an active participant in the schools professional learning team to promote student achievement. Willingness to actively assume extracurricular duties. Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset. Additional qualifications in Special Education would be an asset.
