Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Security Technician with solid hands-on experience installing and servicing security systems. This role is primarily field-based and involves working across client sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot systems to ensure they operate reliably and meet customer expectations. Responsibilities Install, configure, service, and repair security systems such as CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire alarm systems, access control, and low-voltage cabling Read and follow system drawings, layouts, and schematics to complete installations accurately Inspect and troubleshoot cameras, sensors, alarms, locks, control panels, and power supplies Run and terminate cable, install conduit, and mount equipment using hand and power tools in a safe manner Troubleshoot system, network, and connectivity issues both on-site and remotely Make repairs, adjustments, or recommendations for system improvements when required Work directly with clients to understand their needs, explain system operation, and provide basic training Complete service notes, update system documentation, and submit reports after installations or service calls Experience & Qualifications Previous experience working with security systems or in a related low-voltage or electrical role Good understanding of IP networking, telecom systems, and remote access tools used with modern security equipment Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction environments, basic locksmithing concepts, and low-voltage wiring Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics Hands-on experience with CCTV cameras, motion sensors, fire alarm systems, and access control hardware Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and job-site safety requirements Comfortable using power tools and installation equipment Experience with system sales or solution design is considered an asset but not required Additional Information This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, problem-solving, and working directly with customers.
