Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Tanker Dispatcher to oversee the daily coordination of our bulk liquid tanker fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently scheduling drivers, managing loads, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Exceptional multitasking, customer service, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Dispatch & Scheduling: Efficiently plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers for the customer requirements on bulk liquid accounts. Customer & Driver Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for both customers and drivers. Provide timely updates, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive professional relationships. Customer and driver satisfaction is a huge part of our business. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transportation activities strictly adhere to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations and other relevant safety standards. Geographical Routing: Utilize in-depth knowledge of Western Canadian and some US geography, including major highways, rural routes, and customer locations, to optimize routes for efficiency and safety. Multitasking & Organization: Skillfully manage a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Prioritize tasks effectively, maintain detailed records, and ensure all load paperwork is accurate and complete. Organizational skills are a must. Software & Technology: Proficiently use dispatch and transportation management software. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word) is a mandatory requirement for reporting, communication, and data management. Border Connect: ACI and ACE Manifest knowledge an asset. Communication: Maintain clear, constant, and professional communication via phone, radio, and email with drivers, customers, and internal teams. Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential delays or issues (weather, traffic, equipment) and implement effective solutions to keep operations running smoothly. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 1-2 years of dispatch experience, with specific experience in tanker or bulk liquid transportation highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Western Canada and US geography, road systems, and seasonal driving considerations. Proven ability to multitask, stay organized, and perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) is mandatory. Experience with industry-specific dispatch software is a strong asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
