Police-Based Victim Service Worker - # Location: Fraser Lake, BC Vacancies: 1 Position Available Hours of Work: Part-time 18.5 hours per week;3 days per week, Posting Date: February 2 2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Start Date: As Soon as Possible Salary: $26.74 $30.69 per hour as per CSSEA & CSSBA Collective Agreement (Grid Level 11) Job Summary In this Police-Based Victim Services role, the worker is in the RCMP detachment. The Worker provides victims and witnesses of crime and trauma with information, practical assistance and emotional support needed to participate in the justice system. Service is delivered on a flexible basis to respond to urgent situations and provide timely follow up and support. Qualifications & Experience: A diploma in Health and Human Services, Community Safety At least 2 years recent related experience or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess an understanding of theory, principles, and practices in the field Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Demonstrated ability to work independently and adhere to program guidelines and standards Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams, coordinating multifaceted service Excellent communication skills Must be sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences, differences in socio-economic status and lifestyle diversity. Must be non-judgmental Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to Indigenous culture.
