We are seeking reliable On-Call Sidewalk Labourers to join our winter snow removal team. This role is ideal for individuals who can respond quickly during snow events and are comfortable working outdoors in cold, snowy, and extreme winter conditions. Job Duties & Responsibilities Clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, building entrances, curb ramps, and access points Shovel and snow-blow fire hydrants and pedestrian pathways Operate snowblowers and other small equipment safely Apply salt and ice control materials as required Work on your feet for extended periods of time Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion Respond to snow events on short notice, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays Follow all health and safety policies and procedures Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to supervisors Assist with other winter maintenance tasks as required Working Conditions On-call work based on weather conditions (hours not guaranteed) Outdoor work in extreme cold, snow, wind, and icy conditions Shifts may be long during major snow events Qualifications & Requirements Must be available on short notice during snow events (we try to give you as much notice as possible) Located in the Hamilton/Burlington or Mississauga area Physically fit and capable of manual labour Ability to work in harsh winter weather Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with snow removal or outdoor labour is an asset Valid driver''s license is an asset If you''re dependable, weather-ready, and not afraid of hard work, we want to hear from you.
