Receiving & Inventory Lead - Nanaimo We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to support daily receiving and inventory operations at our garden centre. This role is responsible for unloading deliveries, processing inventory in the POS system, managing product flow to the sales floor, and handling write-offs and returns. This is a full-time position; compensation $23.00 25.00/hour Key Responsibilities: Receiving & Inventory Control Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments from vendors and internal transfers Accurately check deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies, damages, or shortages Manage product flow from truck offloading to appropriate staging areas and onto the sales floor Ensure product is handled, stored, and rotated safely and correctly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area POS & Administrative Support Enter received inventory into the POS system accurately and in a timely manner Print and apply price stickers, barcodes, and product labels as required Process inventory write-offs for damaged, expired, or unsellable merchandise Prepare and manage RTVs (Return to Vendor), including documentation and system entry Maintain organized and accurate receiving records Support inventory counts, audits, and seasonal changeovers Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable standing, walking, bending, crouching, and reaching for extended periods Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required Forklift Certification (we can provide training), palette jack operation Qualifications & Skills Previous receiving, warehouse, or retail inventory experience preferred Experience working with POS or inventory management systems an asset Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, seasonal environment Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members Strong computer skills (data entry, printing, scanning) Why You''ll Love Working Here At GARDENWORKS, we offer a culture that values a healthy, fulfilling work-life balance.
