Reports to: General Supervisor, Field Services Shift: 7x7- 12h per shift, rotation between days and nights Allowances: Additional premiums and allowances are associated with this position due to location Safety Sensitive: Yes - drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required Travel: up to 25% within Canada and the USA Relocation: This position does not offer relocation Key Job Responsibilities Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specs for industrial installations Wire, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems using detailed electrical drawings Test electrical and electronic components for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance Install, maintain, and repair motors, generators, alternators, industrial batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems Work on industrial electrical and electronic control systems and related equipment Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records Maintain quality standards and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements Participate in the oncall rotation as needed Qualifications/Requirements Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred) Basic knowledge of PCL controls and wiring Strong understanding of electrical theory and rigspecific power wiring Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the field Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment Willingness to travel and spend time away from home when required Valid Alberta Drivers License Must have no restrictions for access for any mine site Additional Information This posting reflects an existing vacancy within our organization.
