Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities The Manager, Events & Campaigns will lead planning, execution, and optimization of key CNIB fundraising events, stewardship and campaign initiatives. This role is responsible for developing high-quality campaign materials, coordinating donor stewardship efforts, and ensuring the successful delivery of major fundraising events. Working closely with Philanthropy, Marketing, and Program teams, the Manager, Events & Campaigns will play a key role in driving revenue growth and enhancing donor engagement. Essential Functions Events Lead the planning and execution of major CNIB fundraising events, including: CNIB Guide Dogs Pup Crawl ($100k$150k) CNIB Guide Dogs Regina Gala ($150k) support in 2025; lead in future years Winnipeg Art Auction ($70k) support in 2025; lead in future years; eventual return to in-person format Halifax Gala ($50k) Toronto Gala (TBD - $200k) Manage all aspects of event logistics, sponsorship engagement, guest experience, and post-event stewardship. Develop and implement event fundraising strategies to maximize revenue generation and donor participation. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution. Campaigns & Donor Stewardship Responsible for delivering substantial support to CNIB''s annual fundraising activities, ensuring the success of initiatives for CNIB Guide Dogs, CNIB Kids, CNIB Sports & Recreation, and other future Campaigns. Devise and continually improve high-quality external Campaign materials for the benefit of CNIB donors including support writing competitive funding applications, proposals, and reports. Proactively identify prospective donor prospects and cultivate relationships. Oversee communications with donors including follow ups, updates and ensuring timely recognition of gifts, while holding responsibility for maintaining consisted and effective engagement. Ensure appropriate administration of donor information in the donor database. Maintain high quality stewardship practices for active donors including reporting and sustaining detailed records of activities. Ensure consistency, quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all communications consistent with CNIB''s brand and CNIB Campaigns. Responsible for coordinating team functions, including material ordering and logistics, managing equipment and supply inventories, executing team administration tasks, scheduling, and coordinating meetings, and ensuring accurate recording and distribution of meeting minutes. Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated success in proposal and stewardship development. Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and evaluate information, as well as make recommendations. Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis. Experience and Education BA or equivalent in business, marketing, fundraising management. 3-5 years of management experience. Strong competencies in Windows environment and with Microsoft Office software, including (but not limited to) Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong skills with design software, primarily Canva. Experience coordinating events and/or a fundraising committee is considered an asset. Aptitude for planning and analysis with strong project management skills. Adheres to applicable privacy laws as well as AFP, CAGP and CNIB standards of discretion and confidentiality. Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a focus on efficiency. Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset. Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
