The role is responsible for supporting the execution of the North American material inventory policy across multiple manufacturing locations. The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring material supply for specific manufacturing locations in NA. The Procurement Specialist will provide cross functional support in identifying and addressing material risk to protect business attainment & adherence metrics. The Procurement Specialist in the North America Procurement Service Center plays a critical role in McCains efforts to be a best-in-class purchaser of materials for use in the manufacture of food products, provides strategic supply chain support in the planning, delivery and storage of raw and packaging materials required for production at McCains North American plants. Responsibilities Execute the material inventory policy through MRP analytics and purchase order execution aligned with inventory targets. Manage inbound material risk through a defined process to mitigate attainment & adherence impact. Provide support in the escalation, and resolution of material risk/impact. Support Procurement S&OE lead, ensuring real time visibility to material risk. Ensure accuracy of material attainment and adherence reporting for their responsible manufacturing locations. Provide input to cross functional partners including operations, planning, sales and marketing. Ensure individual accountability for performance deliverables in their specific location. Accountability for SMI management to ensure vendors are accountable in the process. Qualifications Secondary education in business is preferred Computer Skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint System Experience - SAP, TMS, Power BI Procurement or Supply Chain experience preferred but not required Proven project management experience preferred Demonstrated skills in planning and analysis Role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent prioritization and collaboration skills Skills Linking business needs to leverage scale Client relationship management Financial analysis skills Capacity: Proven ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities Business thinking: Able to connect business needs with external capabilities Collaboration: Regarded as a constructive team player and have a strong sense of partnership behavior Analytical thinking: Disciplined and data oriented to gain competitive advantage Strategic thinking: Able to think strategically and plan for the long term Communication: Ability to communicate objectives clearly both in writing and orally Creative & Flexible: Able to evaluate opportunities and respond to changing requirements Ability to work independently when needed, to make sound business decisions, and can accurately balance risks with business needs Diversity mindset: Ability to manage in a matrix organization and across regions and cultures Ability to travel on occasion to McCain plants and Suppliers Compensation Package: $52,600.00 - $70,200.00 CAD annual base salary, paid in alignment to contract term The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
