We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to build efficient, datadriven artificial intelligence systems that advance our predictive automation capabilities. The candidate should be highly skilled in statistics and programming, with the ability to confidently assess, analyze, and organize large amounts of data. Additional Information* The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD$120k -CAD$130k/year & benefits (see below). The Role Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. Working with a team to build digital applications to integrate with ML solution solutions to the users. Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership in ML projects. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate ML solutions into various product features. Work with large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive decisionmaking. Implement and optimize ML models for high availability, scalability, and performance in production environments. Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and apply them to improve our systems. Participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing to ensure the team is always at the cutting edge of technology. Conduct code reviews, participate in technical design sessions, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML models and data pipelines. Communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ML models and processes. Provide strategic input into project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals. Requirements Extensive experience in software development with at least 57 years of handson expertise in machine learning. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers. Proficiency in ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikitlearn. Strong programming skills & experience writing clean code in languages like Python, Java, or similar. 12 Experience in Building digital applications using Django or SpringBoot frameworks Experience with data handling, preprocessing, and pipeline development, including proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases. Knowledge of AI technologies, including Gen AI, LLMs, and semantic search. Strong understanding of security architecture and data privacy regulations. Excellent problemsolving skills and a passion for continuous learning and innovation. Effective communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to nontechnical audiences. Ability to work collaboratively in a crossfunctional team environment. Openminded, receptive to new ideas, and always looking for a better way to do something.
