Sock Rocket is looking for our go-to person! We need a highly organized, detail-driven human to take ownership of our day-to-day administration and operations, and keep our systems organized, efficient, and running on time. Were currently hiring someone fun, eager, and very reliable to be our Administration and Operations Lead! Were moving to a new operational space, and youll be the backbone of our company during and following the transition. Youll handle our daily digital operations, including order management, invoicing, file maintenance, inbox management, and various administrative functions - plus our hands-on fulfillment tasks like receiving, packing, and shipping. This position will start as part-time, and will become full-time as the role develops. This is a hands-on office manager role with no direct reports. Youll be managing digital operations and physical fulfillment of product. Youll be highly counted on; a very important cog in our machine. We want someone who is excited by the idea of working closely with the founders of a successful social enterprise during a period of major change. What youll do: Oversee the relocation, setup, and optimization of our operational space Manage orders, inventory, and supply levels inside our various operational platforms Manage inboxes, create and send invoices, and carry out various other administrative tasks Create, maintain, and improve operational processes to keep work organized, repeatable, and efficient Monitor delivery status and manage communication with carrier reps Manage shipments from start to finish, including receiving, counting, packing, labeling, and sending Create and manage process documents and workflows Assist with setup, restock, and strike for markets and events Provide customer service at our market and event booth as needed Communicate proactively with our team and flag issues early Identify inefficiencies and gaps in processes and suggest practical improvements Stay flexible as the role evolves and take on additional operational responsibilities, including providing very meaningful oversight and active management of projects and processes What youll need (hard skills / must-haves): High level of reliability and consistency of work Proficiency inside a Windows desktop environment Proficiency using shared spreadsheets, documents, and communication tools Strong physical and digital (file / folder) organization skills High standards for accuracy and efficiency Strong work ethic and focus Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for crushing deadlines Ability to lift up to 25kg Access to a vehicle to manage load-out and load-in for markets and events Things wed love to see but arent required (soft skills / assets): Experience working in a warehouse or retail store Experience working in a B2B environment and/or with large corporate clients Experience with a CRM like Salesforce or Hubspot Experience with platforms like Wordpress, Shopify, or Squarespace Experience with shipping software Familiarity with corporate brand standards and guidelines Keen eye for interior / warehouse design and floor-planning Experience with product / lifestyle photography Basic understanding of colour theory Basic understanding of bitmap files Customer service experience Our ideal candidate is: Fun, trustworthy, and very reliable Excited about the chance to have a very important role on a small team inside a bustling small business An expert list-maker Not using AI to write their resume or cover letter.
