Staff Accountant - (Public Accounting / NTR & Tax / Reviews) Our client, a mid-sized public accounting firm is seeking Staff Accountant. This role specializes in review engagements and other non-assurance work. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Notice to Reader financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Assist clients with corporate tax planning, preparation, and compliance, ensuring adherence to Canadian tax laws and regulations. Manage the preparation and filing of taxes for individuals and businesses, including T1, T2, T4s and other relevant forms. Assist in the completion of review engagements Analyze financial data, interpret trends, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for additional services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients. Support and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development. Stay current with industry trends, developments, and best practices related to non-assurance, NTR engagements, and taxes. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelors degree in accounting or finance Extensive experience in public accounting, Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, including experience with T1, T2, T4s and other relevant forms. Proficiency in using accounting and tax software and tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and client relationship management skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Leadership abilities and experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
