The Opportunity Build the Future With Us As a Geotechnical Field Services Technician, you''ll be on the front lines of delivering highquality field testing and geotechnical data that supports safe, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure across the region. This is a juniorlevel roleperfect for someone eager to grow their technical skills, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to impactful engineering projects. Your Impact Perform field testing, including compaction testing, concrete testing, soil sampling, and materials verification. Collect accurate geotechnical data to support design, construction monitoring, and compliance requirements. Assist senior technicians and engineers with site investigations, drillrig support, and borehole logging. Apply geotechnical testing standards and quality procedures to ensure reliable and defensible data. Prepare clear and organized field notes, reports, and documentation. Support safe work practices by following WSP''s safety programs and participating actively in jobsite risk assessments. Work on a variety of infrastructure, transportation, building, and land development projectsevery day looks different. The Skills That Set You Apart Some experience (coop, internship, or early career) in construction materials testing, field inspection, or geotechnical work. College technical diploma or University degree in a related discipline (civil, construction, geotechnical, environmental) considered an asset. Curiosity and a willingness to learn geotechnical field techniques and industry standards. Comfortable working outdoors in variable conditions and travelling to job sites.
