Type: 1 Year Term Closing Date: February 18, 2026 The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, IT Project Management Office, the Senior IT Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of complex technology projects across the organization. With deep experience in infrastructure and technology implementation within a matrixed environment, the role applies advanced project management practices and strong communication and leadership skills to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Working closely with business and IT leadersand embodying WAA''s valuesthe Senior IT Project Manager helps balance operational needs with long-term strategic objectives, strengthening the efficiency and performance of the airport''s IT project delivery model. Responsibilities include: Define and manage project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and communication plans. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, charters, and supporting documentation. Coordinate cross-functional and multi-department project activities and ensure stakeholder alignment. Apply project management best practices, governance standards, and tools throughout the project lifecycle. Estimate resource and staffing needs, manage project budgets, and secure required personnel or external consultants. Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and related procurement activities. Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics, and proactively manage scope or timeline changes. Prepare and deliver status reports, presentations, proposals, and other project documentation. Resolve issues and conflicts, develop contingency plans, and drive continuous improvement through post-project reviews. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and partners. Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors to achieve successful outcomes. Collaborating with IT teams, business units, vendors, and contractors to support project delivery and operational requirements Selection Criteria include: Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology or Project Management, or related discipline. Ten years'' direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution. PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 certifications. Experience leading teams through the implementation of projects and ensuring that all stakeholders are satisfied with the result. Strong knowledge of PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in matrixed environments. Advanced skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and full project lifecycle management. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and the Microsoft Office suite, including Visio. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations. Broad understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and software development practices. Experience with vendor management, contracts, SLAs, and third-party engagement. Ability to analyze technical and business data to support decision-making and drive successful project outcomes. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment. Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work outside normal business hours and participate in on-call rotation.
