About the Role We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Rear Load Garbage Truck Driver to support a new Multi Residential and City Facilities waste collection contract launching June 1, 2026. This role is primarily responsible for the collection and transport of bulky items and oversized waste from multi-residential properties using a rear load garbage truck. Or responsible for the collection and transport of organic waste from multi-residential properties using a rear load garbage truck. The successful candidate will operate the vehicle while also performing manual collection activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional service delivery across assigned routes. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on assigned multi-residential routes Collect bulky items and oversized waste in accordance with contract and municipal guidelines (Bulky Driver) Load and compact materials manually or with assistance, as required (Bulky Driver) Collect organic waste in accordance with municipal organics programs and contract requirements (Organics Driver) Manually load and compact organics carts, totes, and bins as required (Organics Driver) Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation Maintain awareness of surroundings, including pedestrians, traffic, and property constraints Ensure collection areas are left clean and free of debris Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and route support staff Identify and report safety hazards, access issues, or non-compliant materials Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements Represent the company professionally when interacting with residents, property staff, and the public Qualifications Valid DZ drivers license with a clean driving abstract 1-2 years of driving experience required Previous rear load or waste collection driving experience preferred Experience handling bulky items or high-volume waste is an asset Strong understanding of safe driving and job-site safety practices Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy items Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills This is more than a job - its your opportunity to be part of something bigger.
