ROLE OVERVIEW: You will support, coordinate andadminister the workflow of the Business & Legal Affairs department forNeshamas production slatethrough all stages of development, production, post-production and delivery. Key responsibilities include: Manage your own file load and draft, review, negotiate and administer all manner of agreements common in the television and digital content broadcast, development and production industries, including services agreement, underlying rights agreements, music licenses, talent agreements, option agreements, option extension letters and amendments; union and guild filing requirements, E&O insurance applications, title clearance and others, under legal supervision. Support and review tax credit estimates, labour schedule and tax credit calculations, complete and submit tax credit applications, ensure compliance with all CAVCO rules and regulations and complete copyright registrations with USCO and CIPO. Coordinate signature of documents, document management and filing, including, updating and maintaining an organized database and tracking system to coordinate the flow of appropriate information and documentation among internal departments and external third parties. Assist in creating and standardizing template forms tailored to buyer/ distributor needs, manage existing forms to ensure consistency with company policies and practices. Working closely with and supporting the Neshama team, external producers and our distribution partnersto help ensure the successful workflow of each stage of a project. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of relevant experience working as a contract manager in a business and legal affairs team in the Canadian film/television industry. Live action scripted and unscripted series experience is an asset, along with exposure to US studio deals. Deep knowledge of Canadian guild agreements, Canadian content and tax credit regulations. Familiarity with US guild agreements. Proficient in Excel and Word, including working with track changes, redline/blackline documents High organizational and administrative skill, with a strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team Able to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment Salary range and location : The role offers a compensation range of CAD $75,000 - $95,000 annually, based on level of experience.
