Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef at Killarney Mountain Lodge, located in Killarney, ON. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities include menu planning, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to a positive work environment. Collaboration with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences is essential. Qualifications Strong culinary skills including meal preparation, menu planning, and food presentation techniques Experience in team management, communication, and leadership within a kitchen setting is essential Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and proper kitchen sanitation Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant, resort, or hospitality setting Formal culinary education or equivalent practical experience in the industry Passion for delivering high-quality cuisine and providing exceptional guest experiences Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays We offer dedicated management housing for $10/day with a rebate upon contract completion, a wellness program, staff family stay rates and a staff referal bonus program. Wage: $4166 per month plus monthly target attainment bonuses Term: April to November Apply to:
