Hiring: Senior IT Program/Project Manager Public HealthcareLocation: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaWork Model: OnsiteContract Type & Duration: 8 months to start with potential of an additional 4 months extensionStart Date: April 1st, 2026 Compensation: $85.00 - $115.00 per hourAbout the Opportunity:We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program/Project Manager to lead a portfolio of healthcare IT projects focused on the modernization of clinical workflows and digital solutions. This role requires experience in deploying electronic health-related systems, managing project portfolios in complex public sector environments, and supporting cross-functional stakeholders in healthcare delivery.The successful candidate will manage projects related to clinical software systems integration, ensuring successful, timely, and cost-effective delivery while maintaining compliance with project management frameworks and governance practices.Key Responsibilities:Manage multiple aspects of healthcare IT projects, including OLIS direct integration initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements, project scope, budget, and timelines.Engage with healthcare sites, clinical stakeholders, and project teams to maintain effective relationships and manage expectations.Identify and mitigate risks, conflicts, and potential issues proactively, escalating as appropriate.Provide business requirements and feedback to internal IT teams to support solution deployment and enhancements.Collaborate with internal service teams (Identity & Access, Service Desk, Product teams) to support client deployments.Develop and maintain project status reports, deployment tracking, and documentation repositories.Facilitate end-user training and provide supporting materials and job aids.Apply change management strategies to overcome resistance and enable adoption throughout all project stages.Ensure pre-go-live readiness, including technical configuration, compliance obligations, and workflow modifications.Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:810+ years experience managing electronic health-related IT projects, ideally deploying clinical software systems.5+ years experience with Lab Information Systems (LIS) and healthcare workflows, including hospitals, labs, patient admissions, and health records.Strong project management skills, including risk, scope, schedule, quality, and resource management.Demonstrated ability to work in matrix organizational environments and manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.Proven track record working with healthcare professionals and clinical teams.Desired Skills & Attributes:Professional Project Management certification (PMP) or equivalent.Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, MS Teams, and Agile/Waterfall methodologies.Knowledge of Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS) or other healthcare lab systems.Experience in change management, workflow analysis, business process integration, or quality improvement in healthcare.Familiarity with healthcare privacy and legislative frameworks (HPPA, FIPPA, PHIPA).Understanding of accessibility regulations (AODA) and standards.Interested: If you are interested, please feel free to apply to the job posting directly or send your resume to [email protected] for immediate consideration.
