Were excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Research & Development EngineerThis role offers the opportunity to drive the design and development of next-generation elevator and vertical transportation systems, with a strong focus on innovation, safety, and code compliance. You will play a key role in advancing product performance while ensuring designs meet stringent regulatory and industry standards.Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Research, design, and develop elevator and vertical transportation systems and componentsApply and interpret elevator codes and standards (CSA, ASME A17.1/CSA B44, local regulations) throughout the design processCreate and review detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentationLead and support prototyping, testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and field operationsSupport regulatory approvals, audits, and technical reviews related to code complianceAnalyze field data and customer feedback to drive product enhancements and innovationMandatory Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering5+ years of R&D or product design experience within elevator or vertical transportation systemsStrong working knowledge of elevator codes and safety standards (ASME A17.1 / CSA B44)Proven experience in mechanical design, analysis, and validationAbility to interpret complex regulations and translate them into compliant designsPreferred Requirements:Experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar)Exposure to testing methodologies, failure analysis, and design verificationExperience working in regulated, safety-critical industriesProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibilityLocation: Mississauga, OntarioSalary Range: $90,000 $125,000If you are interested in learning more about the Research & Development Engineer job opportunity, please submit your updated resume to [email protected] are recruitment industry leaders committed to quality service, integrity, respect and equal opportunity.
