About the JobRisk ManagerAbout the JobOur client is seeking a Risk Manager to support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across large-scale projects within the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate brings international project exposure, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead risk management processes in complex, fast-paced environments.This opportunity is well suited for an experienced risk professional looking to make a meaningful impact on major capital projects while working closely with senior project stakeholders.What Youll Accomplish in This RoleRisk Management LeadershipDevelop and implement risk management plans aligned with project and client objectives.Facilitate threat and opportunity identification workshops, decision analysis sessions, and hazard studies (HAZOP, HAZAN).Establish, maintain, and continuously update project risk registers.Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and recommend practical, effective mitigation strategies.Monitoring, Reporting & GovernanceTrack key risk indicators (KRIs) and prepare regular risk reports for project leadership.Participate in project start-up and close-out reviews, quality audits, and independent risk reviews.Ensure alignment with international risk management standards, including ISO 31000, ISO 31010, and PRAM.Collaboration & Capability BuildingPartner with engineering, construction, procurement, and planning teams to integrate risk management across all project phases.Train and support project teams on risk management tools, processes, and best practices.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organizations risk management culture.What Youll Bring to the TableMasters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management or related roles, including at least 3 years on international projects.Strong knowledge of risk analysis tools, methodologies, and frameworks.Experience supporting EPCM or large-scale capital projects.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and risk management software (Predict, CURA, ARM, or similar).Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project environments.Why This Opportunity?This role offers exposure to complex, high-impact projects and the opportunity to influence outcomes by embedding best-in-class risk management practices across major capital initiatives.Competitive base salaryExposure to large-scale, multidisciplinary projectsInternational project experienceCollaborative, project-driven work environmentCompensation & DetailsBase Salary: $110,000 $120,000Location: Canada / USAWork Model: Hybrid / Onsite (based on projects)All candidates must successfully complete a full background check.We use AI technology as part of our application review process to assist with screening and assessment.
