Job Description

Position Summary The Business Development Manager is part of the Sales & Business Development team for Greco Architectural Metal Products, a CSW Industrials company. This role is responsible for driving measurable sales growth for Greco Architectural Metal Products in Ontario, with approximately 80% focus on the GTA. The role is centered on direct contractor engagement, project identification, bid pursuit, and award conversion. Success in this role is defined by tangible outcomes increased bid invitations, higher award rates, and sustained revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings a bootsontheground and hunter sales mindset, is comfortable working jobsites and contractor offices, and demonstrates persistence, followup discipline, and accountability for results. Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 CAD, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performancebased commission program. Responsibilities Sales Execution & Project Wins Proactively identify and pursue commercial construction projects through direct outreach, including inperson visits to jobsites and contractor offices. Build and maintain strong working relationships with specialty contractors, general contractors, developers, and project teams to secure bid opportunities and win awards. Aggressively increase the volume of bid invitations and awarded projects through disciplined followup, negotiation, and differentiation of Grecos technical advantages. Compile and manage bidder lists, submit substitution requests, and ensure full bidday coverage using platforms such as Dodge, Spec Success, and internal tools. Contractor Engagement & Territory Coverage Maintain a consistent field presence across the Ontario/GTA territory, prioritizing facetoface engagement to uncover opportunities and influence project outcomes. Position Greco as the preferred railing partner by demonstrating product quality, execution capability, and reliability. Develop territory plans to systematically grow market share within assigned regions. Technical & Commercial Support Develop a working understanding of Greco railing systems and architectural metal applications to support technical discussions and competitive positioning. Collaborate with internal estimating, engineering, and operations teams to support pricing, scope alignment, and execution feasibility. Provide feedback from the field on competitive activity, pricing trends, and customer needs. Performance Tracking & Accountability Track and report on key performance metrics, including: Bid invitations secured Award rates Sales closures and pipeline activity Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts to support sales planning and performance management. Knowledge & Skills Strong portfolio of contacts in commercial construction in the designated focus markets and surrounding areas. Proficiency with MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and order management software, including CRM. Strong understanding of the commercial construction industry, preferably within architecturally specified products such as railing systems, glazing, or building envelope components. Demonstrated ability to sell in longcycle, competitive sales environments involving multiple stakeholders and bid processes. Tenacious, resultsoriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through persistence and disciplined followup. Comfortable with direct outreach, negotiation, and objection handling. Strong communication, organization, and territory management skills. Ability to thrive in a performancedriven environment with clear expectations and accountability. Experience 5+ years of sales experience within commercial construction or a closely related industry. Proven success increasing bid invitations, award rates, and project wins through direct contractor engagement. Experience selling technical or specified products strongly preferred. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Postsecondary education in business, construction management, or a related field is an asset but not required. A combination of professional experience and education may be considered. Other Requirements Primary territory coverage within Ontario, with a strong emphasis on the Greater Toronto Area. Approximately 40% travel, primarily local/regional, with regular jobsite and customer visits. Valid drivers license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
