Your Opportunity Our Water Team in Edmonton has an opportunity for an eightmonth coop term expected to commence in May 2026. Engage in a wide variety of work projects, offering the chance to expand your skills and experience across different industries and disciplines. These tasks include research for uptodate techniques, calculations, field work, project coordination, reporting, and meeting attendance and recording. Your Key Responsibilities Provide general support to engineers and technologists within the Water group. Support the field construction and commissioning team on ongoing projects. This involves: Monitoring and reporting on current construction activities. Assisting the commissioning lead with startup and commissioning activities. Onsite document management including deficiency reviews, asset management, document review, and quality assurance. Uses knowledge of the general concepts of relevant basic engineering elements. Generate preliminary calculations and reports. Review drawings and complete audits on relevant project design elements. Perform due diligence and research on projects as required to provide the background information to start new projects. Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Your Capabilities and Credentials Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to engage in creative and critical thought. Detailoriented team player and the ability to work independently. Education and Experience Currently enrolled in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent postsecondary program with availability for an eightmonth internship. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. Pay Transparency In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreedupon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for parttime roles will be prorated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
